Dear Dodge.... WHAT THE HELL?! at long last sirs have you no shame ?!0

I watched the video and since I don't have speakers on my computer at work, I supplied my own sound effects. I held a mosquito by my ear and waved it back and forth. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

better 'The Annoyance' than The Hornet.0

Man, the designers of this car have got it all wrong. If you're going to use an existing brand, show some respect for the past.
These guys need to take a hint from their compatriots in the Dodge division. Take a look at this Challenger concept car. Now there's a fine looking automobile. One that owners of the classic model wouldn't be ashamed to drive.0 -
Call it the "hair net" not the Hornet. There's not sting in that thing0

the club store'll need to come out with a new liscence plate holder for OUR hornets when this fugly thing rolls off the production floor. THE ONE..THE ONLY..THE ORIGINAL HUDSON HORNET, or a t-shirt with a racing scene and those words above0

uuuuuuuuuwwwwwwww! I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth...
Of course we all know what happened to Hudson after they started
naming their cars after sunken aircraft carriers... Maybe Dodge will go the
way of Plymouth.0 -
should call that hornet a jet, the downfall of dodge0

Never heard of "Left Lane News" but everyone should check out page 24 of the February issue of "Road & Track". At the SEMA show in Las Vegas, this car was shown as the Dodge Caliber. Hopefully that will be the correct name.

I guarantee the Dodge Hornet is a vast improvement over the last 25 years of Dodges. The downfall of Dodge was the Dodge Aries and all the crap that was based on it for the following 15 years.0 -
I wonder if it can tow my Hudson to the next national, and haul all the parts I want to sell there, and haul the old girl back home after a nice week of cruz'n the streets of Kearny NE. ??? If it could not, it would not be of much use to me. Except to sell it there too maybe!!!0

I think you guys are being a bit Hyper-sensitive about this new thing called "Hornet"
There are other cars that have been named Hornet (and trailers too) and none of them was advertised as being a "future-retro design" based on the original Hudson Hornet or even remotely resemble the the originals like the newer Mustang or the Challenger Concept (they nailed that one!)
Now if they say they are going to come out with a Hornet based on the Hudson original and they butcher something up like the "Charger" - which IMO pays no homage to the original design - then I would say you have something to get up on the soapbox for...0 -

HERESEY!!! RAMBO IS A WITCH BURN HIM!!!!! Ok maybe we're being a little hyper sensative. LOL ..... But I still think that I could design a better car or even a better retro-styled car to wear a strong name like "Hornet" if I was a dyslexic pigeon with one eye. Most everything coming out of the industry is unimaginative, uninspired, lacking character or class. As George Carlin said "Cars used to be named after dangerous animals "Cougar, Cobra, Thunderbird etc.... now we have cars with names like "Allante' "Elantra"... lifeless @#%@$%ified names, proof that American has lost its edge."
Now some of you may point out that "Hornet" is not from the dangerous insect but rather an aircraft carrier. Well aircraft Carriers are still large, powerful things that can inflict severe damage, which Hudson Hornet's happily fit that description too as they vanquished the competition in early NASCAR. I could not image this new car inflicting damage at NASCAR or even at the local McDonalds drive thru for that matter. It needs a different name!!! I give them credit for the new Challenger show car though....someone in styling is at least not completely asleep at the wheel, esp since they claim that concept will top out at 174mph.0 -
Wanna sell me a new car? EZ,just do ONE thing. Show me something with 100% US
content. Yah, I know I'm dreaming... We'll just expand our ports so we can handle more
container traffic. Makes me ill! Rant over.0 -
There is a review of the new Dodge Caliber in today's USA Today. This is clearly not the same as the "Dodge Hornet" in the video and pictures on Left Lane News. The Caliber is a 4 door (Hornet is a 2 door) different roof line and appears bigger than the Hornet. The Honet may share the platform but is clearly not the same vehicle.0
