Les, the number is close to the number for the '38 -'42 short stroke rods, but that does not necessarily mean anything! What is the distance from centre to centre? The standard rods for 6 and 8 were 8-3/16" and the short stroke rods were 8-5/8". Hope this helps throw some light on the subject.Geoff0

Thanks for the info Geoff, , I have always believed they are 112 rods, that is probably why I still have them on the shelf, nobody wants NOS 112 rods, wish they were the 212 rods, but, they don't seem to be of use to anyone here in NSW.

My grandsons will be bolting my used 112 conrods together to form the arms and legs of a metal scarecrow in the next school holidays. I will have to degrease them first or upset their mums. I also have 36 212 rods if anyone has a need. Barry in South Australia0
