you guys are STILL a couple of idiots.
put it back together, the way it was.
then sell it to someone who will build something decent out of it.
then use the money to buy a rust old model A Ford and butcher that instead.0 -
In my opinion, this car -- if it ever was a Hudson -- was already modified so greatly by the time you acquired it, that there is very little (if any) left to work with. Just do as you like, and enjoy it. But don't waste your time and money trying to 'restore' it to any particular year, because there are too many years and marques of car jumbled together already!0

Hey stupid,i don´t ask your opinion, got it??You don´t know what we gonna do with this car,so shut the f**k up,if you don´t have any facts to my original question!  :mad:0 -
Looks like the body was a Ford and that 2nd pic looks like a 32 Ford grill/radiator shell.
And it seems these guys were just looking for some help, so lets not jump down their throats for no good reason (they didn't say they made the mods in the 50's, it could have been someone else after all). This name calling BS just ircks me into wanting to sawzall the next stock Hudson I see! So what IF they want to modify their car (it looks pretty modified already). Get over it already!!!!

V windshield starts with the 1936 models. The doors open from the rear on the 37 up models. I'm not sure what you got there or if has any Hudson roots, but my guess is that parts of it started off as a 1937 Hudson.
Hope that helps.
Have a nice day

As the owner of a '37, I can assure you that absolutely no visible body part on that car is from a '37 Hudson-built vehicle!0

I've seen photos of this somewhere before...must be getting too old because I can't remember where. It seems that this originally was a British bodied Hudson chassis but where it went from there, I couldn't tell you.0

I like it the way you found it..... very '50's "old school kustom".0

Sort of looks like a Allard (British sporst car to me) - I don't recognize anything Hudson in there.0

I seem to remember somewhere in the past seeing a story on a 36 Hudson 8 Convt. that was totaled and rebuilt looking somwhat like the original picture of this car.0 -
I have seen pictures of this car around for the last several years. As for the recent modifications, who cares? I owned a 1976 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega a few years ago and it was a 2300 original mile car, one of 30 someodd that were painted blue and the Cosworth owners group thought that it was a national treasure. It was only worth about 7K unless I found a real moron to buy it. It was a POS. Those cars were crap new and they are crap now. Remember the quality at GM in the 1970s? This car was a poster child for their quality. Well the Cosworth nuts would have killed me if I dropped a V8 in that underpowered junk pile. And I won't even go in to the inadequete brakes, cooling system, and other deficiencies. If the guys want to modify their Hudson, then support them. At least they are starting with something great and they will never be able to change the fact that a Hudson is a great car and always has been.0

Thanks for answers
Car is Hudson and year is ´29,´30 or ´31.But which one,it´s not clear.
You can see that from tail, rear wheel opens, cowl, floor and frame.I found pics from ebay,it was ´31 coupe and there was same things.
Car has original frame with four leaf springs and bodymounts with nails etc.
The year is not so important,i am only curious0 -
I got a 31 Hudson coupe. Post a couple pictures of the parts you think are Hudson and I'll compare with the real thing.
Have a good day

The car is definitely not '29 thru '31. More like '36, but there appears to be very little original car there anyway.

I see your point. The rear end of the car looks like a '31 Hudson. Also the firewall looks like a '31 Hudson. Nothing else does! Here is a dusty picture I just took of my '31 from the right rear and it does match the rear quarters and deck lid. Also see the stamped pattern on the firewall.
Whatever you have there I hope you enjoy it. It will never be original again.
