Stepdown quarter panels to parameter frame

What did you (anyone) use for the filler strip between the quarter panel lip to parameter frame area? Looks to be 5/16".

    I used washers. That way water and dirt could drain out. Also in!

    I do, too.  Except stainless washers.  You have to be able to snake that bottom lip in and out to line it up properly.

    I ALWAYS USE PLEXIGLAS  IT WILL NEVER ROT OR SHRINK OR HOLD WATER I LEAVE A FEW PLACES WERE I HAVE GROUND A V IN TO IT SO THE WATER GETS TO RUN OUT
