Production run of Jets?

Does anyone know how many 1953 Jets were produced? I received an inquiry from a lady whose father once owned one and wondered how many were produced.

    Alex B's excellent reference work, General Info Handbook, on page 72, gives a 1953 Jet production figure of 21,143.

    Well, there ya go! My Handbook (in loose leaf form) only goes to 64. Guess I'll have to break down and use the new, improved CD version!

    Don't be so cheap, Jon - print out a new copy -- or spend a $10 bill or so and have Kinko's print you out a nice spiral bound copy, with nice cardboard covers. hehehehehe
