Here is an interesting accessory that I have never actually seen on a car.  I have seen the hard side visors but not these.
Thanks!

  • That;s a first for me . Doesn't seem like a great product , probably didn't sell well.

    Interesting display item.

  • The question is will it stay in place if you're doing 80 or 90??  I'd rather, if I had a Hudson, have the metal type.  The only advantage I can see for this item is it's easily installed (??) and removed.   Still, it is, as bent metal says, cool and would make a great conversation topic.  A thought just occured to me - if you had a set of these on your Hudson and were parked at a meet how long would it be before somebody accidentally knocked them off walking between cars.

  • I saw these in use back in the 40s or 50s. They didnt stick out very far, and would fold up when not needed. Like little awnings. These with the "kool cushions" made summer a little cooler.
  • I recall seeing them advertised along with screens that would fit into the open windows. For those travelers that slept in their cars. They would be cute on a 20's or early 30's era car.. A stepdown? Not so much...
