Posing with a Hudson
While on a summer vac our Hudson was lucky to have been a back drop for some lovely gals.
During our trip if we could of counted the number of pictures taken of the Hudson on the highway and during fuel stops.
We do get a little nervous when picture takers get a little too close to us for a good shot.
These cars are so nice to drive although A/C would have been nice as the temp inside got up over 100 as can be seen when I put the temp gauge up for a pic.
What are some of your latest driving highlights?

Thanks.the guys under the hood had never seen a Hudson straight eight power plant before.I took the young ones out for a ride and they said it was quite a thrill for them as it was there 1st old car ride.0

46 out at a local cruise this summer.Out of 250+ vehicles usually there is only 1 Hudson.Where are they all,they love to be driven and shown.

They do indeed. It is a continuing frustration of mine that my '39 112 just sits there. Would that I had the money to fix the important things like engine , brakes etc.I'd drive it with the dodgy paintwork with a little sign in it saying "Work in Progress"I'd use it in preference to my Brand X cars any day of the week

A few excuses for turning a Hudson into a garage queen that I've heard over the years:
Looked like rain (I don't remember seeing one melt);
The road's rough (Really - I don't think they'll break!!)
It's so hot today and no AC (Well, I guess I can sympathize with that one);
I don't dare drive it on the interstate (So plan out your route to take the old highways);
There are more, but that's enough for now. From the number of meets I read about in the WTN that are held in a members back yard I have developed the theory that owners are afraid somebody will actually touch their precious machine.

G'day All,
Just got back from visiting the USA for a months holiday travelling around California - never seen this model type in Australia - I was really happy to see it at the Palm Springs Car Show - (pity it's the only Hudson on display.
As for the only Hudson, just before I left Australia I attended a local Motorfrenz car "show and shine" Mine was theonly car under 1950 so it automatically won "Best car under 1950" a nice glass Trophy and Certificate
So get your car out and win some prizes :-)

Those old '3-s are like cockroaches - they'll be around when everybody else is gone and this old world goes "poof". Gooneys are right up there in my likes - It's a toss up between 1st and 2nd with Hudsons.

What a load,what do you think the weight was?These trucks were sure made work and look how long they have lasted.0

That is the way my 64 El Camino looked loaded with firewood. Only the suspension was bottomed out and everything under the truck was scraping the ground driving on the forest dirt road. Had to straighten the 4 speed shift linkage afterwards.
My Dads 46 Hudson PU was much better with a load.

August at Limerock, CT, "Sunday in the Park", only Hudson there. I try to avoid rain and bumpy roads, but still manage about 1000 miles a summer.
