I can't get the picture on my screen big enough to get a good look at the head to see if it really is a 7X???

It has a Clifford head on it.

even with a look at the exhaust, and what not, it sounds like this one is just reworked, but, by Clifford, and unless you can pull the head to verify, it is difficult to establish any credibility unless you can see the chamber reliefing and any other "flow" work done. I however bet this one has quality work in it.

A 7x cam, and exhaust split, a 7x does not make....
  • yes, I agree with Ken U, I remember reading through my Dad's W.T.N.'s in the late '60's thru the '70's about Mori-Kubu's legendary 'Satan' ! Never seen the beast, but anyone from the North Central Chapter could tell some history about this car. How and when it ever left Minnesota is beyond me ! Bruce passed away some years ago, and also had a exceptional '46 or '47 Hudson pick-up. Wonder what happened to it ? !

  • !!Told you so!!! Someone did know the rest of the story. I remember the car now. Used to be the scrouge of the sporty car types. It does have true history.
  • Every car has history. Some, more than others.

I like that floor shift. I might have to look into that if I decide to keep mine.

It's not clear to me why you think the fact that it's a '53 sedan should make any difference. Maybe you own one yourself? :D
