Hudson Brass Padlock??

I have never seen one of these before - where they used on the old luggage/trunks on the Essex models? Current Bid is a whopping 175.00+-

    These Locks Were Issued And Used During World War II There Were Used To Lock Up Gov. Plans And Rooms And The Like That Were For Top Eyes Only I Have A Few Of Them And Have I've Seen Many Over The Years I Can Remember One Time Ken Pointer Came To A Meet With A Bag Full Maybe 75 In All And Was Selling Them For $5 Each With Out A Key And $10 With A Key That Was Along Time Ago I Know He Sold Them All That Day I Have Seen Them At National Meet In Detroit A Few Years Ago They Were $75 To $100 Then And Saw Them At Hershey Lasy Oct. For $150 Each THEY WERE MADE BY YALE I HOPE THIS INFO HELPS

    I was one of the bidders on this lock. I stopped at $175.00 and it is now $176.??. The place I work for used locks like this on there equipment and buildings. They had there company name on one side and Yale on the other in my case Southern California Edison. I was able to find a couple of them from my company but most of them were taken many years ago. Ebay is almost like being a gambler but in the end you might own something you dont need and payed to much for but it sure looks good to you. LOL Thanks Ron

    Il Bought Several Of These From Ken Poynter, Who Told Me They Were Used In The Factory. I Have One On A Chain On My Front Gate And Have Been Using It For 15 Years Or More, One More In My Showcase, So I Guess You Would Say It Is Still Being Used At A Hudson Factory, As We Turn Out A Lot Of Rebuilt Hudsdons, Bill Albright

    Another one of these padlocks (with a key) sold on ebayfor $307 in early Feb.

    I've not seen any others on ebay over the last couple of years.
