Hello,
I am new to this forum you can call me BOXER, I just acquired a 1951 hudson hornet for my son he has been wanting on, I have found him one for his 16th birthday, it is in rough shape. I have joined this forum in hopes that I can find a parts car or sheet metal to help me complete this reiteration for my son.
Thank you and nice to meet everyone........

Welcome to the Open Forum, Boxer! Glad to hear that a Hudson is your father-son project. This (1951) was a very popular year so parts and expertise are in good supply. In fact, I think the Club's registry for surviving 1951's has something like 700 or more cars listed on it.
Anyway, you have now been made a "full member" so feel free to post any questions on the forum, under whichever category you think fits the question.
If you haven't already done so, you might want to look into joining the H-E-T Club, which runs this forum (and another Hudson forum as well, both within the Club's website). The club puts out a great bi-monthly magazine, has about 40 chapters around the U.S., and provides a great many services to its members. (For example, as a member you will have access to downloadable sales literature, parts and service manuals, all of which are listed on the website. More info is in the "join/renew" drop-down, above.)
But in the meantime feel free to fire away with the questions. And do post a photo of your car here at the Forum.
By the way, you might want to mention your locale, because there is a good chance one of the forum members may live nearby, and might even have a nice restored '51 that he could show you!
