Color name of this Hudson pickup?

I have been looking for a good color blue to paint my 50 Commodore and am wondering if anyone would know the color name of the blue that is on this Hudson pickup? I'm not sure of the year of this truck and really like this particular blue. I have 3 samples of blue paint on the way to me from the 1950 Hudson colors of Lagoon Blue Poly, Legion Blue Poly and Rivard Blue Poly. If the Lagoon Blue or Rivard blue are close to the blue that is on this truck, I'll be very happy!

That pickup appears to be painted "Barharbor Blue" a 1946 Hudson color.  My Son, Dave Bean painted his '46 pickup that color after he completed the restoration of the truck back in 1983.

Were postwar pickups available in all the same exterior colors from the factory as the passenger cars?

I beleive the '46 & '47 pickups were available in a limited color selection of around four regular passenger car colors.  For '46 there was a medium grey, black, a medium green and the Barharbor Blue colors

I used 1990's gm truck blue on our 1946 and it is very close match to Bar harbor blue

    Hello,

The Hudson Equipment and Options Price List for 1946 lists the Cab Pickup colors as:  Black (K) ; Gun Metal (G) ; Bar Harbor Blue (B).

The Hudson Equipment and Options Price List for 1947 lists the Cab Pickup colors as:  Ebony Black (K) (Cream Wheels); Gun Metal (G)(Red Wheels) ; Belvidere Blue (B)(Cream Wheels).

A DuPont Color Chips list for 1947 Hudson Color Combinations says that Belvidere Blue Metallic supersedes Bar Harbor Blue Metallic on Option B (color option letters are stamped on the right front door upper hinge) at Hudson Serial No. 55955.

    Take care,

    Steve Bryson
