I think I seen on here some of you ride Harleys. I will be at the Laughlin Nevada River Run in April staying at the Colorado Belle so if any of you will be there lets have a beer or 2 and talk Hudson & Harley. Thanks Ron

I have a Harley that I am just completing a partial restoration on including converting the mostly stock 883 to a highly modified 1200. I go to Laughlin several times a year as I have friends there and I keep my boats there. I have never been on the Laughlin Harley run, it is a little farther than I care to ride a Sportster.
  • Hudson and Harley, my two favorite things on wheels.

I'm way too far from Laughlin to make it, and too busy to boot. Its good to know there are other folks out there with the same likes.

I'm also a Sportster enthusiast. One addition to the cars will be a trailer hitch, to pull the bike along to shows. Hopefully to get some riding in during shows. We can't think of anything better to do: drive to a show, meets some folks, do a bit of local riding, then load up the bike and Hudson back home.

  • I'm so jealous! I was in Laughlin for the River Run in 1991. But sold my '41 Knuckle in 1995 for the down payment on my first house. Though I think it was smart buy my house. I still miss the riding days. My first bike was a '65 BSA in a rigid frame, but my favorite was my '74 Sporty (w/ RH shift) in a rigid w/ the shifter pointed up (you shifted by hand), 18" Apes on 6" dogbones. Nothing like 4" off the ground and your hands in the clouds! Always rode and loved the rigids, but my back now probably would have a tough time with them! And after spinal surgery on my neck, it may jar lose the metal plate holding my head on! lol
