Convertible Top Valve?

I desperately need a new back portion of the convertible top control valve (see pics).  Can anyone help?

  • Russell, check your email.
  • How did that happen?
  • I had a couple of these back-side valve bodies, both were cracked.  I fixed this one with 2-part epoxy and then sent to Hydro-Electric for them to re-build, because at the time, they didn't have any in stock.  They did the re-build with no guarantee (because it was cracked).  They told me it might make it, it might not.  Well, it didn't.  Once I got hydraulic pressure to it, it broke apart.  Some of us have to learn the hard way, I suppose.

    At least you tried...
Many people throw away repairable items without ever giving it a shot.

  • Glue it back together and make a casting using it as a pattern
  • That's going to be the plan, Roy, on down the road.  Right now, I have to get my hands on another one, as this car is due to be in Colorado Springs the 2nd week of August.  I'm quickly running out of time, and there's still a ways to go.
