Putting my cab back on 47 truck.

I,m ready to put the cab back on the frame of my truck. It had fiber strips in between the floor and the frame before. What can I use to replace that today. Some one suggested to using strips of a insulation product called themocustic sold by Eastwood. I am using this inside on the floor and the firewall for sound deadening. Any thoughts or suggestions. I think I should have something I between and not metal on metal.

    Bill carpenter Ford has a product made just for that purpose.  You can look it up on the internet.

    Restoration Specialties, Dennis Carpenter, Wildrick Restoration and many, many others all have "webbing", which is what we've always called it just for that application.  Someone like Dennis Carpenter will have the original-styled woven material.  Many Hot Rod outfits sell thick rubber strips that come in a long coil (which I like, because it lasts a lot longer on a driver).  

    Yes, you most certainly want to have something between body and frame.
