55 hornet

I have a 55 hornet with the packard v8 . It's in pretty good condition. It's never been restored . I'd like to drive it. Would it be a good thing to swap out the drive train ?

  That's a pretty modern engine, why go to the trouble and expense of swapping it, it if it works?
