Although I didn't know Joe I am sorry to hear of his passing. Does his widow have any stepdown coupes in the collection that she is willing to sell? Please offer her my condolences and let me know.
Regrets,

Yes, he has several step downs, he has 1 convertible step down, (very rough but buildable)Mrs. Mahon wants to dispose of his cars at her own pace, whenever she is ready to do the step downs I will post them here, there is 2 pickups also.0

Do you know if the car has overdrive ? And what would you say the car needs to be a solid #2 driver ?0

J.C. Was a long time member of the MidSouth Chapter and we did not know of his passing. Sorry to hear of it. He was a loyal Hudson fan and club member.

No I do not think it has an overdrive, completion of the interior and trunk would, in my opinion make it a #2 driver, As you can see in the pix the exterior is done, some of the re-chroming is marginal.0

Bill , Any idea about price ?0

Mrs. Mahon thinks the car is worth $12K, I do not know much about the price range of pre-48 models, If it was a step-down club at that price it would have already been gone(I'd own it) I will convey any offers from anyone or I will arrange to look at the car If any prospective buyer wants to look.0

Is the price on the 46 club coupe too high?can anyone give me any insight as to its value?0

 Let's see, if I read the Gold Book correctly, Bill Albright's just completed '52 Hollywood restoration (Albright No. 7 photo), at the show quality level it is, would go for $ 17,000. Seems a bit out of date, especially note S on collectability (not yet recognized). $ 8,000 given as value of a four door sedan of show quality. Wonder if Bill has any available at that price? Walt0

June 2006 Old Car Price guide has 46-7 coupes between $7600-8500 for #3 and $11900-13200 for #2 depending on model. OCPG seems to be off on actual current selling prices of Hudsons (especially stepdowns ) as they have not increased very much over the last few years, and the market has changed substantially. While noone may want to say it, this car also would have a great appeal to the street rod crowd with the great fat fendered coupe shape.0
