Twin H exhaust manifold

Is there any differenace between a Twin H exhaust manifold and the standard two barrell? I am looking at purchasing a complete setup and since it would be coming a long distance, I could save by leaving the exhaust out if it isn't any different than the one I have. I will probably get headers eventually, but would like to see what the Twin H does by itself first.

The only difference is the Twin-H exhaust manifold has a second tube through it for the rear carburetor choke heat tube to plug into. A service bulletin described where and how to drill the standard manifold and insert this second tube when adding Twin-H to a formerly single-carb car. I've not done it but will be soon, as I've got a rather ugly welded Twin-H manifold on the car now, and have acquired a mint condition single-carb type to replace it.
  • You may want to take the exhaust manifold if it isn't cracked. They are getting harder to find in good shape, and you won't have to drill for the second heat tube.
