Definitely get one from Dave or Tim. They know Hudson water pumps, which are set up much more precisely than most other makes water pumps. It's easy to set one up with too much impeller clearance, and then sell it as a 'rebuild', when in essence it's really shot!
I've done both of the above, in that I bought a so-called rebuild that turned out to be junk, so then I bought one from Dave like I should have done in the first place. It was done right with a new shaft, bearing, and seal, and the impeller was set perfectly.0 -
