Charles has a 1940 Hudson pick /up 6 212 not sure if there is double action pump for that engine0

My recollection is, that one can buy a double action, but I was once warned by the late Steve Sessions that the spring pressure on the internal arm is so great, that it will wear down the lobe on the camshaft. (No one besides Steve ever said that, though!)0

FWIW Toyota 4 Runner diesels used to have a small vacuum pump attached to the back of the alternator to provide vacuum for the power brakes.0

Thanks it's a 6 volt system with the generator on it0
