1950 Hudson commodore

I just bought my first truly classic car. A 1950 Hudson Commodore and was hoping for some help in finding where I can get some parts. My three speed with OD is unable to get out of 2nd gear. Also if anyone knows of a place I can get a carpet for my car in the bellingham Washington area or surrounding countryside that would also be very handy

    First off, I would like to suggest that you join the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club. This is the national organization of which the Northwest Chapter (noted above) is a part. The webpage is at http://www.hudsonclub.org/ .



    Incidentally, Tom's local chapter has its own website, at http://www.members.tripod.com/NWChapterHET/ .



    Tom's idea for you to join the local chapter is a great one (members of locals must also be members of the National). There are usually a lot of things going on, on the local level and you can make valuable contacts with fellow local 1950 owners as well.



    When you join the National and local, you'll be tied into a valuable network of parts and technical information sources but until you join, feel free to post your particular needs here on the Forum (or even to join us some evening over at the chatroom).

    Don't know about in the WA area but some of the best fit carpets come from club member Bob Rosol in Summit NJ, 908-273-2370. He has his own upholstery shop and is a Hudson guy!!!
