First Show Of The Year
I went to the first show of of the year Yesturday . This was a local show in Norwalk Ct. There were probably about 150-200 cars. The best part about this show is that you get a total representation of the Collector car Hobby. From a 29 Stutz Dual cowl Phateon to a Fully blown 70 Camarro Pro street { 800 HP} . I love the fact that people from all walks of life have this bond that runs deep. Any way there was a good representation of Independents. I took my 49 Commadore sedan and was parked between a 50 Frazer and a 54 Studie. There was one other Hudson 54 Super Jet coupe that was gorgeous.
All in all it was a great day and the 49 Commadore attracted alot of attention and one of the top awards. I'm still amazed at how many people that have never seen a Hudson. People born later than 1960 are still getting aqainted . It's great to start the season off on such a foot. I look forward to a happy year of Hudsoning ahead. I hope all of you do as well .

You actually took your beloved Hudson out into the public arena so the great unwashed could see it??? And there was another Hudson there too!!!!! AMAZING.
Seriously - it does my heart good to see that perhaps the banging my head against the wall is finally getting somewhere.
For to many years it has seemed that Hudson owners had a phobia about taking their cars out into the public. It seems like the only place they will go is somebody's back yard where they can hide. You give me hope for the future!!!
I hope I run across you at a New England Hudson meet sometime in the future - Carl Webers meet in October comes to mind, since you are in Wilton, CT.
Happy Hudsoning.

Alex,
I would luv to go to Carls meet. I made it to the Springfield meet last year on a very Hot day in June. I didn't get there until Saturday afternoon though and the crowd had thinned out some.
I don't get it ? AM I missing something about the fact that club members only go to club meets ? Don't get me wrong , I luv club meets but i love all car meets.....0
