'27 Essex Super Six oil pump
Hello There All,
My '27 Essex super six has lost oil pressure. Checked everything out and found that the plunger on the oil pump had a large gouge worn into it, which I had repaired. Does anybody out there have a procedure to prime the oil system prior to restarting the engine? Also any oil pump rebuild instructions as far as the ball placement, I'm assuming 2 balls go up top, and the other 2 balls go to the bottom.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You and have a gret day!

Just fill the cavity before you install the top two balls, and allow it to dribble through. You are correct, two balls top and bottom.0
