Gas Gauge Sending Unit - 1936 Terraplane

Hi everyone...I know this has been answered before, but what is the gas gauge sending unit that is available for a 1936 Terraplane? I think the replacement is for a Ford, but don't know what year. Thanks for any help.

    email Paul Schuster.  He's in your roster.  The Ford ones don't read correctly.

    i was just told that  stepdown sending units will not work. the hole is a different size and the guts that read the level are a different operation than the stepdowns. info from a long time member who needed one for a 1938 tried a stepdown unit it would not function correctly.
