W1 carby leak

This is a 35 or thereabouts W1 Carter carby, it leaks from the highlighted screw. The sealing method seems to be a metal on metal conical seat, there is no room for an O ring. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

    It’s supposed to have a small copper gasket.
