Bought the 1951 Hornet Coupe
I ended up buying that 1951 Hornet coupe and picking it up today. I purchased it from a club member and I would conservatively call it a very strong # 3 car. Interior was redone in correct style and in excellent shape. Near show chrome, new tires, has Twin-H with hydo-matic. Paint looks good from 15 feet but would need to be redone to be truely great looking. Car was 150 miles away in 100 degree heat so I had a good chance to shake it down. I followed the flow of traffic at 75 for most of the trip and it ran perfectly and the temp gauge stayed in the "normal" range. This was the first Hornet coupe that I have driven (my others don't drive yet) and am surprised how light and modern driving it feels. My Commodore sedan feels like a Cadillac (or Cadillac feels like a Hudson?), this feels more like a sports car. So as of today, I can now proudly say I have 51, 52, 53 and 54 coupes. But alas, this will be a short lived bliss as in a couple months I'll be selling a couple of these projects in anticipation of a strong market. Niels

Niels,
Congrats on your new ride. And you can't beat driving one home.
