308 valve spring interchange?

Hello all,

Stranded on the road with a shattered valve spring.  Anyone know what would interchange with it

  You can buy a set of springs from Maas or Cooper, but if just need one in a pinch, I might have one and think a small HP Chevy V8 283/327 might work.

  Did this cause your lack of power?  Tight valves equals too smooth idle and poor power.   Replace the valves and check the rest of the valves for clearance.
