Is the '55-'56 202 identifiable by the addition of the stamping pad on the driver's side the same as the 308?

    My 55 crate engine 202 has that same pad.

    So this would conclude that this is not an original '53-'54 Jet engine?

    Correct it would be out of a 55-56 wasp. Which technically speaking is the better motor out of the two. The 55-56 202 motor had a slightly larger cam which produced more HP.
