Hey Biffen,
that looks like quite the project. You are really doing the job right by stripping it down to the body and redoing everything. Can't wait to see the finished car. Good luck on the project.0 -
Jan, are you a part of the Svenska Hudsonklubben? Do you happen to know Bjarne Skarp? If so, is he happy on his new farm? I used to correspond with him regularly but we have been out of touch for awhile. Sweden is interesting, since they had their own Hudson assembly plant there before World War II. You probably have more 1938 Hudsons in Sweden than we have in all of America! However, the Step-Downs are much harder to find in Sweden, so I hope you enjoy your 'new' one!0

I've also dealt with Jim Barrington. I was going to buy a car from him but had to back out. He's a good guy to deal with. Niels0

I have to agree with you, Jan. Today I am reading posts from Australia, Sweden, and the States, of course. I am from Canada. Isn't it wonderful that the Hudsons have garnered so much international attention! This forum is amazing. The posts are helpful and the people generous with their knowledge. I've been working on a 59 Chev pick up but now that it's on the road I will begin working on my 51 Pacemaker Coupe. I haven't seen any like it and so I suspect it's a little rare. I know I will turn to this forum for help along the way. What a great club to belong to! Good luck with your Hornet. Geoff.0

Jan, thanks for your kind comments. This is indeed a great club, and a great group of folks on this forum. I have a question for you. Two or three years ago a couple of your countrymen were at our national meet, and said they were going to get a group together to come over for the 2009 national meet, the 100th anniversary of Hudson's beginning. Some were even planning to ship their cars over. Have you heard anything recently about such a plan? Or have you, Jon? It would really be super to have many of our Scandinavian brethren over for '09. And everyone else in the world who can make it, of course!0

Hopefully we will have quite a few Australians making the trip in 2009, less our cars of course, as we know you guys may not let us take our Aussie models back home.LOL.
