    Nice story written about other automakers adopting or not the "stepdown" floor design.  I see it was written by noted automotive historian and journalist, Pat Foster, who's written excellent books about the history of AMC, Studebaker, International Harvester trucks and even Hudson.  Thanks for sharing this story, Mike D !
