Check with Doug Wildrick, he supplied and installed the one in my car0

First type (up to car #47852): part #160652 -- consists of relay #160787 plus (4) round head screws 8-32 x 1/4" and (4) #6 lock washers.
Second type (above car #47852): part #160787 (apparently this needs no screws).
You'd do well to have a 1940 parts manual. There is a downloadable one online at the Library, on the H-E-T website (Assuming you're a club member!) https://hetclub.org/0 -
The relay switch goes from 1940,41,42,46,47 all the same0

They’re all the same functionally but the later ones have a 6-pin male socket. You’ll need the female socket for the OD harness0

            Thanks Val.
And thanks Jon B, I do have those numbers but no way to cross reference them to Autolite or similar. And I definitely am a club member!
Toddh, I'm not familiar with the 6-pin male socket...

The relays for Hudson overdrive may be able to be repaired or the innards removed and replaced with a modern relay in an original case. The attachment explains how the later is done.0
