Single-lever shift rail springs
I've had this trans apart for a couple of years while hunting for a few parts. Now I have the shift rails springs mixed up. The manual refers to a 19 lb spring and a 30 lb spring in an overdrive trans. I have a long spring (about 1 1/2") and a short one (about 1"). Can anyone tell me which spring goes into the case first? Which is the first/reverse spring and which is the 2nd/3rd spring?

2nd/3rd is bottom. 1st/reverse is top. Long spring is 2/3, short is 1/R. Make sure you have both detent balls and the oblong detent correctly assembled0
