Muffler sound

I'd like to duplicate the sound of Doc Hudson in Cars in my 262 Super Six.  Is there a particular muffler that isn't too loud but still gives that "throaty" sound that Doc had when he revved up his engine?

    Chances are the exhaust sound on the movie was from whatever sound the director liked, might not have been from a Hudson

    I'm pretty sure Disney used Ivan Zaremba's car for the sound effects for Doc. You might reach out to him.

    Jason, here’s my 1954 308 exhaust sound, No Muffler just straight pipe out past the bumper.  Headers makes an even better sound which I don’t have on mine.

    I found Doc's sound effects in the film very authentic. Here's a video of my 308 dual exhaust system with Clifford headers and a Magnaflow muffler. Maybe this will sound like what you're looking for.
