Hornet motor No. 124868 error ?
Have a Hudson engine with 308 head, double lever OD trans - with 124868 stamped on block by manifold in front. Thought double lever trans was 1952 but number seems 51 ? Guess trans could have been added to a 1951. What do you think. ? The 1952 numbers start 132xxx. Gert

Look at the casting date code below the distributor. It will be a letter then two or three numbers. The letter is the month, The last number is the year. Whatever is in between as the day of the month.
