Need name of shop that repairs Borg-Warner DG-200 automatics

Please pardon me. I'm a Hudson guy, but a friend with a '51 Stude is looking for someone to fix his Borg-Warner automatic transmission -- a model DG-200. This model was used in several makes of cars / trucks, including some Step-Down Hudsons. Here's what the problem is:

"Essentially, I think the transmission needs the front pump resealed. It likes to dump it's transmission fluid while parked."

(Maybe one of you Step-Down owners has encountered the same problem?)

The friend lives in the Silver Spring, MD area, but I assume he'd be willing to remove and transport the transmission to a shop somewhere in the Pennsylvania / Maryland / New York area.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions I might pass along. And of course, if you know of a mid-Atlantic shop that deals with these old trannies, we'd like to spread its name around amongst our Chesapeake Bay Chapter (H-E-T) members!

    Jon,

To help with the search... the Borg Warner DG 250 transmission was used by Jaguar and Rolls Royce in the same era. Maybe widen the search to include these makes. If someone could repair a DG 250, they can probably repair a DG 200.

Note the author recommends connecting to the STUDEBAKER DRIVERS CLUB.

Fatsco is a well-respected source of Transmission overhaul and rebuild kits. Their personnel are a great source for information on this transmission and repair services.

Good advice, Ken, except that I believe he is already a member and still hasn't located the information he needs. Regarding FATSCO, I'll suggest that to him. (But, I thought FATSCO only dealt in parts for GM Hydramatics.)

    Jon,

Have the guy contact FATSCO to see if they can suggest a company that they supply parts to that could rebuild the DG 200.
