Hey, I was there and almost drove the Hudson, but didn't have time to install the repaired radiator. We could have met up if I knew you were going. There was a purple Terraplane there with Chrysler emblems all over it. Neat show, but needs to be bigger. I hear it use to be bigger but interest in kustoms seems to be dropping with the younger crowd.0

A buddy of mine has a Stude just like that 'cept it WAS a coupe. Someone chopped the roof off and made a 2 seat roadster out of it, reshaped the rear fenders to resemble an early 60's 'vette, put it in the weeds and made a mess with the body filler. Cool car but I can drive my Hornet in the rain.0

Kustom Kemps had meets in Centralia/Chehalis, Washington for several years, about 15 years ago- highlight for me was the appearance of "The Hudson Brothers", three guys from Susanville, California (not brothers) who all had chopped Hudson stepdown coupes. One was Norm Willingham, can't remember the names of the other 2. Most or all had big-block Buicks, I think- One had custom plates "Tealnlo"- gorgeous teal paint, think it also had suicide doors. They were great Hudson boosters- even had business cards. Any of you guys monitor this board? Are you still hitting the shows in northern Cal?0
