That '54 Hornet Coupe belongs to HET member Tom Rainford in Indiana and it's a fast car. I'm surprised he's selling it. I hope it goes to someone else in the HET club who will take care of it.

    Wow, what a beautiful car.

Can anyone give me the scoop on those twin-H aircleaners? I have the same style on my 51. I know they were originally oil bath but mine has regular paper filters in it instead of oil. I've seen atleast three different types outthere.

Arron , How nice is this car ????
  • You could order the oil bath if you were in a particularly dusty area with a lot of rural roads. The paper ones were offered as an option as well and were meant for the city.

Most of the Twin H's I see up here are oil bath as this area had a couple of rural Hudson dealers and most people ordered the oil bath type.

And they are better than paper if its lots of unpaved roads.
  • I would say the reserve on this is at least 25K very nice car. Buy it drive it enjoy it. What could be better.

What could be better? How about having someone else pay for it? :D
  • Dave,

you are right. Thanks for the generous offer I will email you the delivery instructions. And thanks once again for your Hudsonly offer. Only a true Hudson member would be so generous as to buy a car for me. And I really want this one so its perfect. :p

Harry it is a VERY NICE car! It was in good condition when Tom bought it and he's a body man I think so he painted it up nice. I was with HET member Al James in his stock '54 Sedan coming out of the toll booth doing 80mph and Tom left us in the dust doing at least 100. "That's what you get when you buy Hudson instant action egines with super induction" LOL

    Sean,

No need to email delivery instructions, I know where to have the car delivered...my driveway. LOL

Is that an original interior or close to it?
