The photo of the Wasp rear seat is on the money. It's the same pattern as what's left of the original material on my Hornet Special. Like I said, not a true checkerboard pattern but more like an enlarged houndstooth pattern.:D0

The 54 Hornet Special, Super Wasp and Wasp shared the left over fabrics of the previous years. The trim book shows the houndstooth as the basic fabric and the checkerboard with broadcloth and vinyl as one of the alternatives. There is also pictures and part numbers for the leather and leatherette combinations which were available in Maroon, green and Blue. The only color not available in the cloth was the maroon.0 -

The gentleman that bought the 54 Special out of Michigan that was rusted out sent me a couple of pics of the interior which is mostly there and in pretty good shape. I will see if I can post them to see what you guys think.
