Does anyone know where to obtain original type upholstery fabric for a 53 Hornet? It has a checkerboard pattern.

    You might contact SMS auto fabrics. They make a number of exact or close Hudson upholstery matches. Their website is http://www.smsautofabrics.com/

    "In case any body interested in correct address of provider of almost same as orginal checkerboard material it's the following: Duralee Fabrics Ltd., 1775 Fifth Avenue, Bayshore, N.Y. 11706 I received my blue check, it looks great however Duralee offers many other colors. I also have the plain matching blue from Peachtree Fabrics, these are the samples Ken U. recommended & posted some months ago."

    There's a reply form on the website. You can ask whether that particular fabric is still made, and the name of the nearest upholsterer who can order the material for you.
