54 Jet - Clutch & Pressure Plate Assistance
Hello Everyone!
I have a 1954 Super Jet and I need to get some information on what clutch and pressure plate interchanges or fits it. I was told that one from a Dodge would fit perhaps, but I'm not sure that is the case.
If you know this information, or have one of these around that you are willing to sell that fits the car, I'd love to hear from you!
Thanks a lot in advance!

Art, if you're intent on interchanging a Brand-X clutch, be my guest, but are you aware that you can probably purchase a complete, rebuilt one for your car?
Contact Doug Wildrick, who rebuilds Hudson clutches and sells all the components as well. I can't be 100% sure that he does the Jet (dry) clutches but it's worth asking him.

The Jet uses a standard Borg and Beck clutch unit, which interchanges with Mopar, Studebaker, '55-56 Hudson Hornets and Wasps. Should be easy to obtain,

My Jet shop manual is at home, and I'm not. But there is a guy on ebay selling a rebuilt plate for the 202. I'll try to verify the part number after I get home. Good Luck with the Jet!

The Jet used a Borg & Beck clutch which was used by many different cars. You probability can get it rebuilt by your local clutch rebuilter. If you want to look for a Brand X clutch, the Interchange Manual lists the following car clutches as interchanges:
Frazer '47-51
Kaiser '47-54
Phymouth '40-54 exc Hy-drive and HD
Studebaker Commander '40-54
Studebaker truck '51-54 K15 & 15M, M5 & 15, R5, R5-10-15
Willy Passinger car "54 w/226 engine0 -
