I am missing two grommets on the firewall of my 52 Commodore 8. One is for the wiper cable and the other is for the hood release cable. I found two new grommets which fit the hole in the firewall but the hole for the cable is too large.

I could not find these grommets in the K-gap catalog. Does anyone have them, or know where to purchase them.

I was downloading some pictures from my camera and I found two pictures of the Western Reserve Meet in April. We had a good turn out member-wise but weather in West. PA in April can be Iffy, so the Hudsons were limited. This was also an excuse to see if I remembered how to post on this forum

    If someone took the time (NOT ME) LOL and had all the grommets for my 29 Hudson I would send the money right now for the complete set. I am sure it would stop all that hot air from blowing threw the fire wall. When I go to a swap meet, Auto parts store I look at them and say, I wonder if that one will fit and don't buy any. Think about maybe offering this for us Hudson people Kgap. It may pay off ? Thanks, Ron

    YOu might try Metro Rubber Products (http://www.metrommp.com), they have a lot of different grommets for various makes.

    Try Restoration Specialties <www.restorationspecialties.com> They have a good assortment, not particular for Hudson. But can buy different groove diameters and widths for sheet metal of varying thicknesses. Walt-LA

    Next time you are at my garage, I have bag with several hundred assorted grommets. You should find what you need.

    a bood homemade grommet for cables, GET AN OLD VALVE STEM OR A NEW ONE FOR THE TUBLESS TIRe and cut the long end off punch thru the hole in firewall, center can be enlarged to accommadate wireing or cables. looks good , works good and is a cheap fix BILL ALBRIGHT
