G'Day Bjorn.
Where are you in Australia, we are in NSW and may be able to help you get what parts you are after.

wow.. I had to read those posts a couple of times...
you aussie guys are cool!
unless you got an Autozone down there, I cannot even offer any good suggestions.
try eBay, Dave Kostensak (in the HET club...) the easiest sources that come to mind.
As far as the leads, I assume you mean spark plug wires? you should be able to get single wires from an auto parts store that would work, just choose the proper length, and boot ends. (but not sure if they got the same type of stores we got here...)
Oh yeah... just to let you Aussie guys know, I did finally try vegemite, well, lets just say it was quite different, maybe more of an acquired taste. It was not horrible, but was fun to try something different... (of course for this to makes sense you will have to search back a ways in the forum to see where we mentioned this previously.... just look up vegemite!)0 -
Dizzy help? Having a problem with a blond? Sorry, couldn't help myself.
Seriously, the recommendations made are good one. You could check ebay too.0 -
G'Day Bjorn,
If you are on the Gold Coast I will give you a couple of contacts.
BoB Ward email on colsig@gil.com.au
Steve Fripp on 0430 002955 mobile.
Bob Williams on 7286320245 Land line.
If they can not help that end get back to me and we should be able to fix you up some how . Huddy42@optusnet.com.auBjorn_R wrote:Hey there Les!

We do have quite a lot of spare parts shops here in Australia, but if you go in and ask parts for a "Hudson" the guy behind the counter says ''WHAT" never heard of that make. BUT, after the movie CARS it may be a different kettle of fish.
And we do have things on our cars like, leads, dizzy caps, bonnets, boots, dumb irons, overriders, etc etc.
Not sure if it the same in the U.S.but it is illegal to sell copper wire for leads these days, must be carbon trac, if you have the right contact though, you can buy them, under the counter sort of thing.
We Australians eat Vegemite in large lumps or small dollops, but mostly in large lumps. If you can see the thing the Vegemite has been spread on, then there isn't enough. Of course, if you have never eaten Vegemite before, you may need to consume it in slightly smaller amounts until you get used to it.
Yes it does take a little while to get used to but once you do, IT"S BEAUTIFUL
especially on your morning slice of toast and a good cup of coffee.

Holy Cow - Is there a "Down-Under to US-English" translator website out there somewhere?
Les, I really do admire you folks down there keeping the Hudsons going and finding them to fix-up.
It's hard enough getting parts sometimes around here...can't Imagine what its like off-shore.
Keep up the good work!0 -
G'Day Dan,
No translator needed, we know what we are talking about,it's just you guys over there.LOL.
We are part lucky here as my late father was a spare parts dealer back in the 50's era, when he passed away I was lucky enough to get the HET parts, so I can supply most of what is needed here, what we can't get here, we cry for help from you guys.rambos_ride wrote:Holy Cow - Is there a "Down-Under to US-English" translator website out there somewhere?
