Alberta Hudson Meet

Getting ready to go out to the site of our Hudson meet tomorrow. I am camping at the site in the country. We have about six car clubs coming so we will be expecting about 300 cars. Hudsons from across Canada are coming so I am very pumped for this event. This is the first time we have tried to have a national event.

The site is a provincial park that is setup like an old town, so it should provide for some nice photo ops. We will have the Hudsons in the drive by so we should be well represented and not just one or two cars but quite a few.

I will post photos and a writeup on my site next week and send a writeup to Sam for the WTN.

Wish me luck.......Hudsons Forever!!!

This is the only way I can reply (with the quote button)

We were just in Alberta last week at Waterton Lakes N. P. Beautiful ! And the people were really friendly ! But you have to do something about the beer costs ! $12:50 a six -pack is a little steep !
  • Just a quick update. The meet was a huge success we had a line of Hudsons gleaming in the sun. Lots of people coming to see and we had two Hudson pickups a 40 with full restoration and a 46 that is getting there. My fav line of the weekend was "I didn't know Hudson made a pickup" I will post pics and full info on my site and link back here.

It was a real hoot spending the weekend with Hudnuts. Good times..... :D

  • Great meet and an interesting facility. The best part was the appreciative crowd; there were many old timers there that really seemed to enjoy seeing 'their' Hudsons again. It was also great having the 40 half ton along side my 46 3/4 ton as a comparison. The 40 was sweet!
  • Here is a link to pictures from our meet on Saturday. After looking at those we have a writeup about the event on the main page just scroll down a little.

Congrats on what appears to have been a great meet. Thanks for sharing both photos & story.

Hopefully we'll get a similar number of HET vehicles at our October HET club AGM at Wellington, New Zealand. This is early summer for us & any visitors are most welcome. Rides (& probably loan HET cars) available.
