haha...
Bill, you shoud have just said no....
my question is whether we can see a few pictures of that 50-51 wasp.
I guess first off, we need to know what the rear glass is from, and what it needs to go into. be year specific, model specific, and body style specific.0 -
...so THERE! LOL!0

Bill,
I realize sedan is different in many ways than coupe (quarter panel, doors and of course rear window) and it isn't my intend to confuse others, just trying to confirm if glass in question would be correct replacement for my '53 2 door Hornet...Reference the two door rear glass, below quoted information is what I received from seller therefore I used in my question. Probably seller like myself didn't know about Wasp (not a sophisticated Hudson authority) not being manufactured in 50 or 51 and just maybe this rear window is from Commodore or Hornet? I was hoping and would have thought the 51 3/4 x 22 measurements would be helpful information: (Anyway I still like mirrors you sent)...Thanks for helpful input...
"From a 50s Hudson Wasp 2 DR . The rear glass. It is in good condition. I believe this is from a 51 or 52 . The measurements in the center of the glass is 51 3/4 X 22 inches"

dude, you still need to know whether it's a brougham or a coupe....
correct me if I am wrong... but here is what is common for rear windows....
48-49 all, and 50 coupe (all interchange, all models)
51-53 coupe all (and 54????) (all models)
50 sedan, brougham 1 year only (all models)
51-53 sedan, brougham (all models)
51-54 hollywood (all models)
not sure about how 54 coupe and sedan fits into the mix, perhaps the rear windows are different, but I think they might be the same as 51-53 brougham and sedan
and I am not 100% positive that 51 is the same as 52-53, but pretty confident.
If anyone sees something wrong here, correct me.0 -
51 COUPE IS ONE OF A KIND DIFFERENT THAT 52 AND 53AND ALSO DIFFERENT THAN 51 SEDAN. rAY SAVE EM ALL IF THEY DONT FIT CALL ME FOR ONE BILL ALBRIGHT0

50 sedan, brougham 1 year only (all models) super/commodore "split window"
51-53 sedan, brougham (all models) 51 alone, 52,53,54
51-54 hollywood (all models)51,2,3 hollywood are three piece, 54 is one piece
also all jet are the same
not sure about how 54 coupe and sedan fits into the mix (54 is the same as 52-3 except hollywood), perhaps the rear windows are different, but I think they might be the same as 51-53 brougham and sedan
and I am not 100% positive that 51 is the same as 52-53, but pretty confident. (51's are unique to 51 except hollywood)

Ray '1952,53 and 54 rear windows for the coupes, only interchange with each other. The sedans look like they will, until you try to set the glass in place .According to Hollinders Interchange Manual ,this glass pattern,B-249,will not fit any other models as our members stated before. Ron0

Hi Ron,
Thank you for time and helpful information; I have a couple of rear replacement leads only wish some glass manufacturer would manufacture this hard to find glass...From doors to rear coupe's really are different than sedan's however after restoration is complete they are great looking cars as is the sedan. Members like you are the reason why Hudson forum is more popular than the rest
Once again thanks,

To paraphrase ( I think) the preceding about coupe rear windows:-
48 49 & 50 coupes, 48 & 49 sedans, 50 SWB sedans all used the same rear glass.
After those years, coupe and sedan rear windows no longer interchanged.
51 coupe rear window is for 51 coupe only
52 53 & 54 coupes all use the same rear glass
Have I got that right?0 -

Hi Bob,
That's the way I interpretive other members message's...Now I have to acquire a rear window in good shape...I would think and like to learn if '52 Wasp or Super Wasp 2 door coupes use same rear window as 2 door Hornet?
Thanks for your input,
Ray0 -

For any given year all the glass on a coupe is the same no matter what model it is.0 -

That's good news to learn...
Thanks again Bob,
