262 CU IN (Chevy 350 minus 2 cylinders; V6, 4.3L), radio, AC/defrost/heat, cruise control, 4-spd automatic 700-R4 tranny, traction masters, 2nd gear rubber, disc brakes, dependability, good looking compact, 4 doors, serpentine belt, 12V, alternator, CPI/CMPI (Central Multi Port fuel Injection), 28 mpg in town, dual exhaust, computer (if you feel like drag racing, just change the chip-then change it back for great mileage), nice paint, & only 53 years YOUNG!

    Am I seeing things right? Is the caliper held on with a U Bolt? I must be missing something:confused:

    The Jet looks good in white on white, but I could do without the added "Jetliner" trim. Overall it seems be a great example of a resto-rod.

    My Jet came from the factory with a 4sp auto and 2nd gear rubber:D

    Heck if I know...or care. Gas could be $6 a gallon and I'd still enjoy driving my 53 year old car (and engine) regardless of MPG.

    I care, with a toddler and family to take care of, money doesn't go as far as it once did. In a daily driver I care alot about its mileage. Then again, if its a weekend warrior (or I hit the lottery).....I don't care at all (I'd put a blower on mine). But my Coupe's not gonna be a weekend warrior! :-)

    I probably would care if I had a long commute or lived in a huge metropolitan area, but Las Vegas is nothing but a big cow town, and my store is only 12 miles from home.

    Actually, my Hudson probably gets better mileage than my brand X's

    True, true. I've gotta be in LV some time in the next 3-4 weeks, are you in town then? Meeting with a client up there and maybe I'd have time to stop by and say hey. What's your Hud getting for mileage, just curious?

    I'm almost always here. Give me a heads up a few days in advance and I'll be sure to give you a ride in the Jet.

    I really don't know the exact MPG, but I'd say 18mpg is a good estimate for stop and go city traffic.
