Any one know Gary Clann?
I was sitting around with a couple of friends this past weekend reniniscing(?)
about our high school days. One the the cars I had during my senior year was a 53 Hornet. I was approached by a guy one night by an older guy (remember I was in high school) while I was at work one night, who said he knew the car and previous owner and wanted to buy it. He had seen it parked along the side of the gas station I was working at. He had cash, offered $200 more than I paid for it, it became his.
The reason this came up is because he asked if I would deliver it to his house the next day. I had a friend follow me as we were making this last drive in the Hudson. The speedometer didn't work, and since it was my last drive I wanted to see how fast it would go and had my friend "clock" me. My friend shut his car down at 105mph and was still behind me.
I have regretted selling the car from that minute.
Anyway, the best I can recall, I think the guy I sold the car too was named Gary Clann. We were curious if he is still around this area. This was in So Cal in the early 70"s. Does anyone know if he is still around?

Was your car a 53 Hornet 4dr Sedan by any chance? If so, the HET roster shows Gary Klann as owning one in #2 condition.0

Gary Klann, had a road test feature of his '53 Hornet coupe in Motor Trend magazine in the late '70s. Great article ! If you see Gary, don't forget to have a beer with him !0

Sam, thanks for the number. I'm going to give him a call.
Dave, the car I sold him was a '53 blue on blue 4dr. Twin H. It was in pretty good shape when I sold it. I'll update you after I talk to him. Moreno Valley is just over the hill from me, I would love to have a beer with him, and look at his cars.

Terry,
That sounds like mine. I hope that this is your car. Wouldn't it be a hoot to see the old girl again after so many years. I look forward to hearing all about it.
