Replaceable bulb 6V Halogen headlights

Here is information on the headlights from Daniel Stern Lighting on the 6V Cibie E-code halogen bulb units. The replacement bulbs are very similar to that used in most cars sold today. Yep the initial reflector assembly is not cheap but should make a big difference in night driving, but I would not do this unless you put in the relay setup. I intend to do this soon.

The lens-reflector units in your correct 7" shape/size are $60/ea. The

replaceable halogen bulbs that fit the lens-reflector units are $12/ea.

The bulbs are small enough that if you were to buy two pairs (a pair and a

spare pair) you could stash the spares wherever you want -- garage,

glovebox, under the seat, etc. -- and have 'em ready for easy replacement.

I imagine the lens-reflectors' price will probably give you pause, as

you're probably accustomed to paying $14 or so for a throwaway sealed

beam. However, keep in mind these headlamps I offer are designed and built

to last as a permanent part of the car, requiring only periodic bulb

replacement and aiming as maintenance. Meanwhile, your nighttime seeing

will be a GREAT deal better on low and high beam. You're quite correct

that the lamps will neither know nor care that the car is poz-ground.
