I noticed on page 17 of the Sept. Oct. WTN that there was a cool Hornet symbol. Who made that emblem ? Wasn't a factory thing since the car was actually named after the aircraft carrier right ?

I think I want that symbol on a T-shirt or maybe a window decal for if I ever get a Hornet. The Twin H air cleaners for wings is pretty kick arse.! LOL

This art was designed for the California Speedway tour for Quentin Roberts of the California Inland Chapter. I'll send you a copy of the art, Aaron.

Gee thanks a ton Sam I appreciate it!!! Sweeeeeet! Quentin did a heck of a job it looks wicked!
  • That would look cool as a 6" diameter decal for the rear window!

Give people something else to talk about.

Even a nice baseball cap would be cool.

Maybe the Club Store needs to investigate this some...

SAM (and anyone else who cares) I took the Hornet symbol and found a website to make a T-shirt out of it. I just got it in the mail today, it's pretty cool. The shirt is Black with that Hornet emblem on the back underneath the words "Hudson Sales & Service" and on both sleaves are printed "308" and on the front of the shirt it says "SEVERE USAGE! HUDSON 7-X"

Pretty sweet. Wasn't real cheap but the results were worth it I think. I could've had a slightly bigger emblem on the back with a better resolution picture but it's OK. If there was a lot of interest I'd consider doing a run of them.

A rear window sticker of this emblem would be pretty sweet too. Perhaps one of those static cling stickers so it could be removed when necesary.
  • Aaron,

If you are serious I would be interested in two shirts but I have to warn you

one of them would have to be a 3 or 4xl (depends on how much more weight

I loose between now and racing season).

The other could be a medium for my daughter, aka the pit crew.

Let us know if you are going to go ahead and do these as I may want a few

    more.

Aaron, you can check with Chuck Garrett (541) 432-2215. Chuck does great work and makes T-shirts for many chapters, and the National club also. Very reasonable prices. He made great ones for our local chapter. He lives in Joseph Oregon, and is in the H.E.T. roster.

I'll do some more checking into it and see what kind of prices I can get because if it's a whole lot more than $25 for a T-shirt I'm pretty sure almost no one would buy it unless they wanted it bad.

    Nevada - I'll give Chuck a call.
  • i want one... t-shirt and sticker. great piece of art. love it !!:)
  • I'd take a couple T-Shirts if the price was right.

OK This is an example of what the shirt looks like:

It was done on a different site from what I originaly designed it so it doesn't have the "308" printed on both shirt sleaves. You can order for yourself using this link however the price per shirt drops dramatically on bigger orders. I'm not sure what a bulk order would be on the site I originally designed the shirt on. I also might get pricing from the guy in Oregon Nevada mentioned. Obviously if I got enough certain orders I could get the price down. Let me know what you all think of it.

I like it! I'd take a one for sure, maybe more if it could be done it other colors..maybe medium blue or red also?

I think a group buy would make sense here.

I would take one as long as it is a top quality Tee Shirt. Maybe the club could look into it as they have a number of other Hudson shirts. They may get some good quanity pricing also a polo shirt with this emblem on the left front would a nice item.
  • These were already made as T-Shirts and sold at the Western Regionals this past summer. If you guys want some you should contact Quentin to see where they had them made - it would save a fortune on the set-up costs.
