    Yeah he hooks us in with TOM-WA's favorite version of a custom Hudson - making us think he's a car guy...as if "donald" is his real name...get him off our forum!

    Now if he was selling Hudson parts I might be interested in hearing what the guy has to say but Most Hudson owners barely know how to use the internet and type on something that is not mechanical...let alone use a cell phone!

    Nothing "legally" that I know of at this point. Unfortunately to be able to do anything you need to trace the route the messages are coming from and report the information to the IP (Internet Police)

    I did send a PM to Jon asking him to "quite this guy down an make him go away" - just don't tell me the details...plausible deniability!

    Well I've calmed down a little. Not much, but a little. I just returned from the Good Guys Street Rod Event in Ft Worth last night.
    I had 29 unwanted e-mails, my fax had 4 unwanted ads (it uses MY ink) and then as you guessed it my snail mail was full of unwanted ads. I sit down to watch a little TV before bed and it's the same thing. It gets very old after a while.
    If Donald is a guy thats genuinely interested in cars and just happens to have a business selling phones then it would have been prudent to just add his web site address at the bottom like other guys so at least we could have a choice as to view his "wares" or not.
    Well, have to go across town to do a little work on my Hudson.

    Don't waste your ire on 'donald'. He is not an old car guy, he's a merchandiser (or maybe he's even a team of people or even a computer program) who hits hundreds of websites with his sales spam. There is nothing we can do to stop him, beyon erasing his posts as soon as "he" makes them. As soon as he goes away, someone else will be back. I've erased hundreds of these spams by different people in the past and I'll do my best to keep our pipeline unclogged in the future. (Well, sometimes I'm away for a few days and this sort of trash will pile up....sorry! It's a volunteer job and we do what we can.)

    Jon, thats the problem of doing such an outstanding job. most of those were probably unseen by the forum viewers so when one slips in when your back is turned - it gets noticed. just keep doing what you can, THANKS and please keeping doing what you can do.

    Somebody mentioned Fax spam, which uses paper and ink. We were getting a lot of those, but my wife started phoning the 800# at the bottom of the page to get off the list. (This is req'd by law.) I was skeptical, but she has succeeded in virtually eliminating them.
