Oil leak
In reading the thread about synthetic oil as opposed to regular oil, I noticed that several guys mentioned using Lucas stop leak to repair oil leaks around the pan and/or rear main seal. I have such a leak in my Kaiser that is driving me nuts. Two questions: Should I use the Lucas stop leak? Should I start using a thicker oil that was common in the day when these cars were built?

First thing I'd do is find out where the leak is, then try to fix the problem. Stopgap measures usually crate more problems.0
