Fuel Pump Spacer Compression

How much spacer gasket compression should I account for when installing a new spacer?



Any torque specs that I need to be aware of?



Should I cover the entire spacer in Indian Gasket Glue or just the two surfaces that meet metal?



My repro repair manuals are still "shipping" thus the question.

    I just put a new AMC pump in my Special. I just used the old spacers that came out along with the new gasket that came with the pump. Popped it in without any glue, and it works fine with no leaks.

    That would be six, count 'em six, gaskets stacked on my Pacemaker. I had to get anther spacer because the original was dmaged (not by me) when the pump was removed.



    One reason I asked about compression is that I am working on the thickness of a stainless steel spacer that will use just two gaskets. Black is center cut but the outside edges need to be trimmed and the final thickness needs to be determined.
